Commitment to Regional Air Service
St. John's

Provincial Airlines wishes to advise the public that it is maintaining and considering any necessary enhancements to service to all of the airports it serves in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Calvin Ash, Provincial Airlines’ Director of Commercial Operations stated, “Provincial Airlines is maintaining its commitment to providing quality, reliable air services to all regions of the province. Provincial has received good public support for its services in all the regions we serve and we have a high level of confidence that the demand for reliable, affordable air service will justify continuation or expansion of our passenger and cargo services. During 2004 Provincial has added two Dash-8 aircraft to its airline fleet to enhance service throughout its network in the Province.”

In response to recent announcements of reduction of services to some regional airports by another carrier, Provincial Airlines is carefully monitoring traffic activity and will respond to any identified change in demand that will provide an opportunity to modify schedules or increase frequency of service in a manner that will improve regional air travel.

“We will continue to maintain close contact with our customer base, airport authorities, municipalities and local chambers of commerce to ensure we remain sensitive to regional air travel requirements,” stated Ash. “We have successfully built our Newfoundland and Labrador network by listening carefully to air travelers and will continue to do so. Residents of Stephenville, the Great Northern Peninsula and Southern Labrador will continue to receive Service With a Smile!”
